在巴黎和洛杉磯 Saint Laurent Rive Droite 門店近日的一期展覽中，Saint Laurent 展出了法國當代藝術家 Laurent Pernot 的19幅畫作，其中9幅於巴黎門店展出，另外10幅於洛杉磯門店展出。
本次展覽體現了藝術家 Laurent Pernot 對於歷史與文化的癡迷，並將焦點關注於「人與自然」、「短暫與永恆」、「記憶與遺忘」、「歷史與愛」的概念之上。

藝術家 Laurent Pernot 的作品可以說是相當多元，其中包含了攝影、錄像、裝置和雕塑等 …，皆是他過去20年嘔心瀝血的創作。而在過去的20年裡，Laurent Pernot 也一直專注於對時間和詩意的探討，並利用文學、詩歌、神話 … 等，來闡明各種自身體驗到的美好過往。

在這場雙城市的展覽中，最大亮點莫過於 Laurent Pernot 的最新系列畫作《The Contemplations》，其靈感來自大文豪 Victor Hugo 於1856年出版的同名詩集《Les Contemplations》，這是一本有關於回憶、愛情、喜悅，同時也關乎死亡、哀悼的詩集，與此同時，這本詩集也是 Victor Hugo 獻給他那在賽塞納河畔中溺死而亡的女兒 Léopoldine Hugo 的贈禮。
Laurent Pernot 從詩集《Les Contemplations》汲取靈感，加上自身對於生命的感悟，因而創作出一幅幅充滿生命力的藝術畫作，這些畫作由彩繪鑲嵌木材與天然大理石碎片經由拼貼打造而成，並以柔和色調作為基礎，進而形塑出極具詩意的意象，而其中描繪的圖像更是廣泛地參考了藝術史和多元的文化歷史，企圖營造出一種夢境般的靜態氛圍。

由於此系列畫作同時也展示了藝術家內心深層對於藝術的永恆熱望與渴求，因而對於 Laurent Pernot 來說，時間與空間都不再有世俗上的意義，對此他是如此解釋道：
「因為這些美麗的文化早已被封裝在我的畫作之中。」
